Who is developing the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)?
The Planning Program at the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is developing the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) in partnership with stakeholders and the public. The WYDOT 2050 LRTP is being developed in accordance with guidance from the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT).
Why is the LRTP being developed?
WYDOT is preparing a policy plan to guide the transportation investment decisions they make over the next 25 years. The WYDOT 2050 LRTP will incorporate current conditions data, update long-term visions and goals, conduct scenario planning exercises and funding analysis, and reflect both stakeholder and public input to advance transportation strategies and policies.
What role do citizens have in the development of the WYDOT 2050 LRTP?
WYDOT will empower Wyoming's communities in the creation of this WYDOT 2050 LRTP by allowing stakeholders and citizens to give input and be engaged throughout the development of the plan. There will be multiple opportunities for stakeholders and citizens to participate in virtual events.
