WYDOT 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan
This plan will address Wyoming's transportation needs over the next 25 years. The WYDOT 2050 LRTP will focus on strategic policies to drive the statewide transportation system forward.
Project Background
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT)'s 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) will serve as a framework for guiding decisions about the transportation network in Wyoming. The plan will be developed in conjunction with WYDOT stakeholders and input from the public. The plan updates the vision for the state's transportation system for the next 25 years. It will focus on long-term, efficient policies that foster long-term, positive impacts for the energy, tourism, and agriculture sectors across the state. The WYDOT 2050 LRTP will identify performance targets that are crucial to build and sustain a transportation system that is efficient and responsive to the needs of residents and visitors and Wyoming's economy.
The WYDOT 2050 LRTP will blend a data-driven analysis of current conditions to analyze Wyoming's transportation needs, a future-focused scenario planning process, and meaningful public and stakeholder engagement to advance WYDOT's mission and goals over the next two and a half decades.
